Monday's Music Moves Me

Music on World off

Welcome aboard our 189th week of "Monday's Music Moves Me"!

notes

I follow you,  follow me!  Now let's ROCK!
This week's theme is a "FREEBIE"!
Maybe you knew about Jim Nabors.  Maybe you didn't.  He is 84 years old, and though I'm not sure he can still nail this song as well as he did here, he is a multi-faceted performer without equal.  Things that make you say "Shazam!"

Surprise, surprise, surprise!

  1. Well at least he had a powerful voice to go with that powerful song. Great pick and Happy Monday!

  2. He had an incredible voice.
He always sang live "Home In Indiana" at the 500 Races. The last time I was there in 2012 was the first year he did not sing live...he was ill. My Dad always cried when he sung the song.

  5. Jim Nabors has an incredible voice. I remember the first time I heard him sing, I was like, "That voice belongs to him?" His hillybilly character and that voice are so contrasting makes his role as Gomer Pyle all the more fun. Have a tunetastic week!
