I follow you, follow me! Now let's ROCK!
This week's theme is a "FREEBIE"!
Maybe you knew about Jim Nabors. Maybe you didn't. He is 84 years old, and though I'm not sure he can still nail this song as well as he did here, he is a multi-faceted performer without equal. Things that make you say "Shazam!"
Surprise, surprise, surprise!

Well at least he had a powerful voice to go with that powerful song. Great pick and Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteHe had an incredible voice.
ReplyDeleteHe always sang live "Home In Indiana" at the 500 Races. The last time I was there in 2012 was the first year he did not sing live...he was ill. My Dad always cried when he sung the song.
Extremely talented guy, and he sure was funny. I remember the first time I heard him sing on the Andy Griffith show I was totally shocked. Great idea thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI thoroughly enjoyed that, he got that spot on very powerful song to sing too ;-)
ReplyDeleteHave a tanfabulous week ahead ;-)
Jim Nabors has an incredible voice. I remember the first time I heard him sing, I was like, "That voice belongs to him?" His hillybilly character and that voice are so contrasting makes his role as Gomer Pyle all the more fun. Have a tunetastic week!
ReplyDeleteIt still gives me chills, when he sings "Back Home In Indiana" at the Indy 500.
